After a long sickness Mrs. Jacobina Miller died at her home in the east part of town about 1 o’clock Sunday afternoon, aged 76 years and 6 months. Deceased was one of the old residents of this county, removing to town some twelve or fifteen years ago, after her husband’s death on the farm owned by the couple north of Mt. Sterling. Surviving her are seven children, viz: John and frank Miller, Mrs. John Howard and Mrs. McDannold, this city; Mrs. Jack Maher, Peoria; Mrs. Perry White and Mrs. Gus Hess, Jacksonville. The funeral took place yesterday forenoon from the German Catholic church and the remains were interred in the cemetery northwest of town. Mrs. Miller was a hard working industrious woman and there are many who will regret to hear of the death of the cheery, kind-hearted old lady they had known so long.
