Davis farm in section 17 was completed last week and the owners, Reeter and Hirstein prepared to abandon the well and plug it as now showing of oil was found. The well was drilled by Mkie Callahan. However, before the plugging operations began, after a lay-off of a couple of days, the well was bailed and a good showing of oil was found. An attempt was made to acidize the well but it did not bring the results necessary to do a thorough job. Work on the well weill continue, and it is believed the well may turn out to be a producer. This well, is located south of the Carpenter well, and if it does produce oil, will be the seventh with commercial production drilled in the county in the past two months.
