Our worthy mayor, Mr. Travis Brown, was married on Monday last to Mrs. Mattie 
Reed, of Weiser.  The juvenile band called in the evening to serenade his honor 
but found him not, for, with his bride he had embarked on a ship that passed in 
the night, and we hope their voyage o’er life’s troubles seas will be free from 
all care and sorrow.  May they both live long and prosper as never vhas.
