OBITUARY

Funeral services for Allen Newell, 57, who died Thursday as the result of an 
automobile accident Tuesday near Letha, were held Sunday afternoon at the 
Brethren church.  The Rev. Earl Fisher officiated and burial was in Riverside 
cemetery in Payette. 

Mr. Newell had lived in this vicinity for thirty-six years and had been 
postmaster at Letha for nine months.  

Surviving are his sister, Mrs. Jean Stegner, a half sister, Mrs. Nina Salis of 
Litzhfield, Minn. and a step-mother, Mrs. E. W. Litzhfield.
