Marvin E. "Bud" Woods, 77

   Marvin E. "Bud" Woods, 77, died on Aug. 21, 2005, at Clearwater Valley 
Hospital. He was born Aug. 12, 1928, to Bessie and Calvin Woods in Council. 

   He was raised and attended school in Indian Valley and Payette. His 
incredible work ethic was formed at an early age. He left school in the sixth 
grade to help support his seven brothers and sisters. At the age of 20 he 
packed his bags with only a change of clothing and headed for Kamiah. His hope 
was to get work with the Twin Feathers Mill. He later joined the 148th 
Battalion C of the Idaho National Guard. He was mobilized during the Korean 
Conflict and was stationed in Germany. His military service was always a great 
source of pride for him.
