MRS. ANNIE ELIZABETH FRAY
DIED AT HOME HERE MAY 31

Planning a reunion for her ten children, who live in different states, on her 
birthday which would occur June 3, Mrs. Annie E. Fray, wife of W.O. Fray of 
this city died at her home here Tuesday, May 31.  The funeral will be held 
Sunday June 5 at 2 p.m. at the I.O.O.F. hall, Rev. W.N. Knox officiating.
Obituary
  Annie Elizabeth Rice was born in Missouri June 3, 1852 and died at her home 
in Grangeville May 31, 1927 at the age of 74 years, 11 months and 28 days.  
She was married to William Oscar Fray in Missouri, January 21, 1870.  To this 
union were born ten children, all of whom are living.  They are: Mrs. Alice B. 
Gerbart, Louisiana, Missouri; Mrs. Lucille Ebert, Sioux City, Iowa; Walter 
Fray, Chicago, Ill.; Albert Fray, Kamiah, Ida. William of Canada; Claud of 
Ellensburg, Wash.; James and Lonnie of Seatte, Wash.; Mrs. Goldie Brownell of 
Elmonte, Cal.; Mrs. Frankie Bonstrom of Oakesdale, Wash..
  In 1898 Mr. and Mrs. Fray came west and in 1900 they located near 
Grangeville where they made their home until later they moved to this city.  
  Mrs. Fray had always lived a very active life until the last few years and 
was a devoted wife and mother.  She joined the Methodist church in early 
life.  All her sons and daughters plan to be here for the funeral.

MRS. ANNIE ELIZABETH FRAY
LAID TO REST LAST SUNDAY

  With her six sons acting as pallbearers, the mortal remains of Annie 
Elizabeth Fray were lowered to her last resting place last Sunday afternoon.  
The I.O.O.F. hall, which was chosen on account of the greater capacity was 
filled to overflowing by the relatives, friends and neighbors of the 
deceased.  An impressive funeral address was given by Rev. W.N. Knox, assisted 
by Rev. Barber.  The music was furnished by Mrs. Hattabaugh, Mr. and Mrs. Bell 
and Mr. Taylor, with Mrs. Green at the piano.
  Many of the children who came to attend the birthday celebration of their 
mother, but helped to perform a sadder rite, have returned to their homes 
which are scattered throughout the many states.  The memory lives.
CARD OF THANKS
  We wish to express our sincere thanks to the many kind friends and neighbors 
who have helped us with words of sympathy and deeds of kindness during the 
last hours of our dear wife and mother.  We also wish to thank those who sent 
flowers and assisted at the funeral.
