Hoifjeld conducting the services. Mrs. Tanberg was the mother of Oscar Tanberg, well known member of the Soldier Legion Post. She had lived in this community nearly fifty years. Mrs. Tanberg was a loyal member of the Lutheran church here and was always ready to do her part for the church as well as for all other organizations of the community. OBITUARY Mrs. Holden Tanberg was born at Rienland, Southern Aurdal, Valders, Norway, where she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She was married to Holden Tanberg on May 20th 1882. They came to America to make their home in the year 1883. She joined the Soldier Valley Congregation during that same year. Mrs. Tanberg was the mother of eight children. Three of these died in infancy and another, Mrs. Oscar C. Olson died May 13, 1928. The living children are Mrs. George Johnson, Mrs. Silas Olson and Oscar of Soldier and Chris of Sioux City. Besides the husband and children, there are 18 grand children and one great grand child, 2 half brothers and one half sister. These are Bennett and Alfred Soffobrotten and Mrs. Carl Hanson. Mrs. Tanberg passed quietly to the great byond June 10th at 7:30 A.M. She was 75 years, 11 months and 7 days old.
