Nesset, daughter of Mrs. L. E. Nesset, became the bride of Olaf E. Waldeland, former resident here, in a double ring ceremony performed by the groom's father, Dr. M. E. Waldeland, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Northfield, MN, early Sunday morning. The bride was attired in the dress worn by the groom's mother at her wedding 35 years ago. It was fashioned from ivory organdy and lace. A tulle veil with lace cap, and ivory pumps and lace mitts completed the costume. She carried a white leather Bible and a bouquet of gardenias. Naurice M. Nesset, a brother, gave the bride away. Miss Harriet Osterberg of Virgina, MN, attended the bride and Conrad R. Waldeland, a brother attended the groom. Dr. Waldeland used the same text, James 4:8, which was used at his own wedding on July 18, 1900, at Six Mile Grove Church, east of Lyle, MN. Goldmark's wedding march was played as the processional and Mendelssohn's as the recessional. Vocal selections were sung by Mrs. Naurice M. Nesset. Following the wedding, which took place at 5:30 a.m., a breakfast was served at which members of the immediate families were present. Among those who attended were: Mrs. L. E. Nesset; Mrs. Louise Nelson, grandmother of the bride; Mr. & Mrs. Naurice M. Nesset of Madison, Wisconsin; Conrad R. Waldeland, Decorah, IA; Paul G. Waldeland, brother of the groom, Northfield; Dr. & Mrs. M. E. Waldeland and Miss Harriet Osterberg, fiancee of Conrad R. Waldeland. Mr. & Mrs. Waldeland will be at home at St. Paul, MN, after July 24, following a trip through northern Minnesota. Mr. Waldeland is employed in the office of Mike Holm, secretary of state, in the capital building in St. Paul. Additional Comments: Exact wedding date not given.
