                        Albert E. Vervaecke

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA--Albert E. Vervaecke, 81, of St. Ansgar, died Thursday
(Nov. 21, 1996) at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center, Osage, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 25, 1996, at the St. Ansgar
Catholic Church, with the Rev. Joseph Schneider officiating.  Burial will
be in St. Ansgar City Cemetery.  The Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home,
St. Ansgar, is in charge of arrangements.

Albert E. Vervaecke was born Sept. 22, 1915, in Caneghem, Belgium.

Survivors include his wife, Laura, of St. Ansgar; two daughters,
Elizabeth Malone of Manassas, Va., and Connie Fix of Plainview, Minn.;
two sons, Robert Vervaecke, Osage Beach, Mo., and Edward Vervaecke of
St. Ansgar; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one
sister, Elsie Eller of Hubbard.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
