OBITUARY: LaVerna M. Kruse, 1918-1997, Mitchell County, Iowa

                           LaVerna M. Kruse

MCINTIRE, IOWA-- LaVerna M. Kruse, 78, of McIntire, died Wednesday, Jan.
29, 1997, at her home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 1st, at Sacred Heart Catholic
Church, Meyer, with the Rev. Joseph Schnider officiating.  Burial will be
in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

LaVerna M. Kruse was born July 29, 1918, in Britt, Iowa.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Olson of Winona, Minn.; five sons,
Jerald, Robert and Richard, all of McIntire, and Tom and Jim, both of
Stacyville; three sisters, Doris Goerisch of Simi Valley, Calif.; Joyce
Knott of Culver City, Calif., and Betty Nielsen of Walkee, Minn.; one
brother, Chester Rawson of Las Vegas, Nev.; 13 grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two grandchildren, one
brother and three sisters.

The Hatten & Sons Funeral Home, Stacyville, Iowa is in charge of
arrangements.
