                       Benjamin R. Boerjan

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA--Benjamin R. Boerjan, 80, of St. Ansgar, died Wednesday,
March 19, 1997, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn.

Funeral services were held on Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church,
Osage, with the Rev. Dennis Cahill officiating.

Burial was in the St. Ansgar City Cemetery.

Benajmin R. Boerjan was born Dec. 6, 1916, at Plymouth, Iowa.

Survivors include two daughters, Myrna Hrubetz, Prescott, Wisconsin, and
Gwen Reiss, Ellendale, Minnesota; two sons, Roger of St. Ansgar, and
Gary of San Dimas, Calif.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren;
one sister, Minnie Heitland; and two brothers, George and John, both of
St. Ansgar.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one daughter, one
granddaughter, one sister and two brothers.

The Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, was in charge of
arrangements.
