                       Blanche E. Hartwell

ST. ANSGAR--Blanche E. Hartwell, 95, of St. Ansgar, Iowa, died
Wednesday (January 31, 1996) at Mitchell County Regional Health
Care Center, Osage, Iowa.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at
Riverside Cemetery, Marshalltown, with the Rev. Kathy Larson
officiating.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Schroeder
and Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar.

Blanche E. Hartwell was born Nov. 6, 1900, in Barton Township,
Worth County.

Survivors include one son, Virgil Lee of DeKalb, Illinois; two sisters,
Olive Schulze of La Crescent, Wisconsin, and Mable Olson of Waterloo;
and two grandchildren.
