                         Robert J. Burns

RICEVILLE -- Robert J. Burns, 81, of Riceville, died Tuesday (June 6,
1995) at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo.  A Mass of the Resurrection 
will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic
Church, with the Rev. John Mosher officiating.  Burial will be in
Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lindstrom Funeral Home, 
with a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7:30 p.m. Scripture service.

Robert Burns was born Dec. 11, 1913 in Manson.
 
Survivors include his wife, Doreen of Riceville; one son, James Burns 
of Freeland, Mich., and one daughter, Madeline Burns of Waterloo; 
five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, 
Morris Burns of Austin, Minn.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and two brothers.
