OBITUARY: Lorinda M. (Willard) Dodge, 1822-1898 (?), Mitchell County, Iowa

Lorinda M. Willard was born in Richfield, Ohio, March 9, 1822.  In 1843
she was married to Horace K. Dodge, and in 1864 they moved to Mitchell
County, Iowa.

To them were born seven children, of which four are still living.
Mrs. Harriet R. Thurston, Mandan, N. D., Arthur M. Dodge, St. Ansgar,
Iowa; Edgar C. Dodge, St. Louis, Mo, and Mrs. Mary E. Starr, St. Louis,
Mo.

In 1869 Mr. Dodge died and about eight years ago she moved to St. Louis,
making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Starr, where she after a short
sickness she went to rest January 27, 1898, age 76 years, 10 months,
18 days.

In her early life she gave her heart to God and at the time of her death
was a member of the Congregational Church of St. Louis.  4 grandchildren,
23 great grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, besides numerous friends
mourn her loss.
