OBITUARY: Mabel Clapp 1898-1997, Mitchell County, Iowa

RICEVILLE -- Mabel Clapp, 98, of Riceville, died Thursday (Dec. 4, 1997) at
the Riceville Community Rest Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Congregational
United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Thomas Mowbray and the Rev. Herschel
Hawf officiating. Burial will be in Riverside. . . .

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Lindstrom Funeral Home.

Mabel was born on Dec. 8, 1898, in Lakota. . . .

Survivors include two sons, Donald Clapp of Riceville, and Lester Clapp of
Rochester, Minn.; one daughter, Alta Jean Faubert of Tucson, Ariz.; eight
grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, three grandchildren,
three brothers and two sisters.
