He was converted about 4 years ago to God, and since then has sought to retain His spirit. Lying on his sickbed he was very trusting in God, and rejoiced on his going to the outstretched hands, singing: "Shall we gather at the river." To his parents he said: "Mourn not for me." The friends who had died before him, whom he had not expected to see again, he saw. Their companionship, standing about his bed, encouraged him. Also he thought of his pledge to missions before his end, and gave $20.00. Oh how forlorn are the parents and sister! How mysterious are God's ways! W. Kolb.
