For about a year he has been ailing, but he was not confined to his bed until two weeks ago today when he was taken with cramps about his stomach and never recovered. Deceased was born in Licking County, Ohio, May 1846, and at the age of four years came with his father and family to the vicinity of Canton where he as resided ever since. In March 1869, he was united in marriage to Miss Isabel Johnson. To them were born four children, three of whom, two boys and a girl, survive, with their mother to mourn the loss of a kind and indulgent father. The funeral services were held at the late home yesterday at 10 o'clock, conducted by the Methodist minister from Wyoming.
