J.S. Funderburk officiating. The marriage was one of the most quiet and unexpected events that has ever taken place in our community; not even the most intimate friends of the bride and groom knew of the marriage until some time after its occurrence when it was heralded to them by two unexpected attendants. The bride is the efficient postmistress of Butler and one of the best and accomplished ladies of our community. Mr. Harris is one of the largest and best farmers living near Flint River.
