Mary Ruth Boone Byrom, 76, of Chattanooga passed away Sunday, June 1, 2003 in a 
local hospital. She was a member of the O.E.S., P.H.A. and Thompkins Chapel AME 
Zion Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Lamar Levi Boone. Survivors 
include her husband, Robert L. Byrom; sons, Charles Boone of Jacksonville, Fla. 
And Randolph Kennedy, Sr. of Columbus; daughter, Thelma L. Glenn of 
Chattanooga; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a number of 
nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were conducted Friday, June 6 at 
noon in the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Dr. Willie Womble 
officiating. Interment followed in the National Cemetery. The Taylor Funeral 
Home of Chattanooga was in charge of the arrangements. (Cedartown Standard,
