Veteran Dies in Alabama

News has been received here of the death of Mr. L.B. Stroud at his home near 
Gadsden, Ala., last Friday. He was 93 years old.

Mr. Stroud served in the Creek Indian Wars and was a Confederate veteran. He 
leaves a wife to whom he has been married for 71 years.

Mr. Stroud was a brother-in-law of Capt. C.C. Hightower and related to the 
Stroud family of this vicinity.
