The Pike County Journal. Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, May 27, 1898

Mr. W.W. Ward, one of Pike’s oldest and best citizens, died at his home near 
Concord last Sunday morning. He had been ill for several days and the 
announcement of his death was not a surprise.

William Ward and Sarah Harris married in Pike County in 1856.
