From Hollonville toward Zebulon until we reached Beek...then about 1/2 mile on the right. The stones are so old and many are sinking into the ground and broken. Many are above the ground with a broken end or side. There are no names on most of the sites. Can read the following: William P., son of J.L. and Mrs. Belle Coggin -b.May 11, 1876 d. Feb. 16, 1895 John G. - b. May 9, 1873 and d. Oct. 21, 1918 w/o Bertie,(looks like a Y) - b. Sept. 4, 1875 and d. Oct. 12, 1916 This very old grave has a new marker at the top reading; Randolph Hollon, b. 1800 and d. Jan. 27, 1863...and the larger marker at the bottom- Caroline Sturdivant Hollon, wife of Randolph Hollon, b. April 27, 1809 d. July 5, 1883 Buried Old Union Cemetery Gough Delta Co., Texas. Someone years ago tried to scratch into the porous stone his name and dates. Viola Pennington, wife of Thomas A. Connell, b. march 27, 1877 and d. Dec. 27, 1954. Several "new" very white marble stones and my camera angle and glare of sun prevented seeing names...
