Carey was born June 8, 1940 and was a popular resident of the Bell Dixon community in Decatur county. He will be remembered by his many relatives and friends as a very bright spot in the lives of all with whom he came in contact. Funeral services were held at the Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church with Elder C. C. Houston, the pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Pisgah Cemetery. Active pallbearers were J. H. Tillis, Billy Phillips, Billy Gowan, Vedon Milton, Ray Fewell and George Ivey Holt. Honorary pallbearers were his classmates in the fourth grade at Bell Dixon school. Surviving the deceased in addition to his parents are three sisters, Mrs. E. T. Mullis of Climax; Mrs. Eugene Pope and Miss Esther Kelley of Climax; his grandfather, Mr. C. L. Cannon of Cairo.
