The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for FREE access. ************************************************************************************************************** The Cairo Messenger, September 7, 1962 Services Held for Jack Jones, Sr. on Tuesday Mr. Jack Jones, Sr. 82, died at 11:50 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 2 at Grady General Hospital here following an illness of one month. Funeral services were held at the Miller Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, Sept. 4 with Rev. Hugh Lee Brinkley and Rev. George Cummins, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Jones was born in Decatur County on July 5, 1880. He had lived most of his life here and was a retired railroad man having worked with the Atlantic Coastline road. Survivors include his wife Mrs. Jimmie Brinson Jones of Cairo; one daughter, Mrs. Pansy Harrell, Cairo; three sons, Jack Jones, Jr. Cairo, Crawford Jones, Thomasville and Millard Jones of Wichita Falls, Texas. Arrangements were in charge of Miller Funeral Home.
