This is NW of Appling, Columbia Co, GA. The cemetery is located on private property. It is north off of the dead end of Happy Valley Lane. This is approx 1/2 mile off of Cobbham Road. The cemetery is well maintained. There is an approx 3 foot high and 2 foot thick stone wall surrounding the cemetery with stone steps. There is a stone bench to the north of the cemetery. Basil L. Neal 05 Apr 1837 - 13 Apr 1927 In front of this grave is a metal SAR marker. Martha F. Neal 13 May 1843 - 26 Jul 1918 The above two are on a double stone. Basil Neal Jr. 1834 - 1837 Basil Neal GA Troops Rev. War (This is at the head of the grave) Basil Neal Sr. 1758 - 1849 (This is at the foot of the above grave) Mary Ellen Briscoe Wife of Basil O'Neal Sr. 1761 - 1828 The back of the above marker reads: Mother of Eleanor O'Neal Smalley Grandmother of Ferdinand Smalley Sr. Great Grandmother of Joseph F. Smalley Sr. Erected to memory of Ellen Biscoe O'Neal by sons of Joseph F. Smally Sr. Grave marked with a rough cut fieldstone. Grave marked with a rough cut fieldstone. Two of the above fieldstones could possibly be footstones. They are smaller than the other stones. Mrs. Amanda Booker Wife of Simpson Booker and dau of Bazil (note spelling) and Sarah H. Neal Died 14 Dec 1858, age 24 and 6 days. Sarah Hall Green Wife of Basil O'Neal 1798 - 12 Dec 1875 Erected by her descendents in 1961 The original marker to the above grave: Mrs. Sarah H. Neal Born 1798 Died 12 Dec 1875 Wife of Basil Neal There is a memorial markers with the following inscription: In Loving Memory Levin Parker Neal - Mary Belle Fuller Neal and their children Franklin Palmer Neal Martha Amanda Bennett Ina Belle Cousins Mildred Drake Benjamin Llewelyn Neal Franklin Neal 23 Sep 1910 - 22 May 1912 Just outside of the enclosed cemetery is a grave marked with a rough cut fieldstone for a headstone and a smaller one for the footstone.
