Gainous, 74, died Monday night at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Dr. Rob Kestler and the Rev. Sam Waldron will officiate. The family will meet friends from 4 - 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and suggests that those who wish may make memorial contributions be made to Porterfield Baptist Church, 2910 Allen Road, Macon 31216. -Mr. Gainous, son of the late Tolly Newton Gainous and Jessie Geneva Hardaway Gainous, was born in Logan County, KY and was educated in Springfield, TN. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving during the Korean Conflict and was a supervisor retired from Interstate National Lease. Mr. Gainous was a member of Porterfield Baptist Church. -Survivors include his wife Nedra M. Gainous of Macon; three daughters, Kathy Brown of Macon, Donna Ayers of Sharpsburg and Rena Pitner of Stockbridge; two sons, Ronnie Gainous of Stockbridge and Roger Gainous of Logansville; fifteen grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Sowell of Auburn, KY and Mamie Hester of Springfield, TN; two brothers, Jesse Gainous of Greenbriar, TN and Joe Gainous of Adams, TN and several nieces and nephews. -Visit www.mem.com to express tributes. -Snow's Memorial Chapel Funeral and Cremation Services, Pio Nono Avenue has charge of arrangements.
