It is located at approximately 84 degrees, 42 minutes west Longitude and 30 degrees, 22 minutes north Latitude. From the intersection of SR 20 and CR 2224 in northeastern Liberty County, go south approx 1.3 miles to NE Bob Duggar Road. Bob Duggar Road is on the east side of CR 2224. Turn east on Bob Duggar Road (a dirt lane) and go approximately 200 yards and the road deadends into the church and cemetery grounds. The church is no longer being used. The cemetery is well-kept and still in use. Graves marked only with metal funeral home markers are noted because these markers are easily damaged by mowers and often do not last a long time. Graves marked with multiple tombstones (military/ civilian and old/new) have each of the tombstones recorded as a separate entry. Many of the tombstones in this cemetery are obviously homemade from concrete and the inscriptions have been hand-drawn by some sharp object, such as a nail or stick. I have noted these homemade tombstones as many of them show deterioration. Several of these homemade tombstones are broken and exhibit no wire or other internal reinforcing. Some of these homemade tombstones are inscribed crudely on the backside: "Made by BIT, IEB, and CCK". CCK is Christoper Columbus Kyle. All tombstones, plus family groupings, locations and panoramic views of the cemetery were recorded with a digital camera and the full set of high-resolution images in .jpg format along with this text file will be placed in the Family History Library, Salt Lake City, Utah, for public use. Blue Creek Church Cemetery is maintained by members of Grace United Methodist Church in Liberty County and has a homecoming the 3rd Sunday of April every year. This finished survey was compared to the two previous surveys of this cemetery done by Elijah Spikes (April 2003) and Cheryl Raffield (May 1, 1999) to reconcile any conflicts. Use of the previous survey data is indicated at each instance. This survey taken January 10, 2006. Kyle, John There is a third marker on this grave, which reads: "Kyle family tombstones by George Edison Creel, grandson of John Thomas Kyle, Summer 2001" 2. The first letter of the last name on both of these tombstones is a square. It cannot be determined if it should be a 'D' or an 'O'. A check of www.ancestry.com on the internet does not show either version as a name on record as of 3/5/2006. A check of the website of the Mormon Church shows no listing for this name with either an 'O' or a 'D' as the first letter.
