Tallahassee Memory Gardens is a privately-owned cemetery at 4037 North Monroe Street, Tallahassee, FL. Only grass-level tombstones are allowed. Tombstone inscriptions were read the spring of 2000 and re-read the spring of 2001 by Theora Frisbee, by permission of the cemetery manager. There are five gardens: Devotion (D), Christus (C), Last Supper (L), Apostles (A), and Valor (V); and one Mausoleum (M). Each garden was read separately, 1st row starting at its northwest corner and going east, then 2nd row starting at west end and going east, etc. The inscriptions at the end of each entry indicate the garden and row number of that entry. Example: D-12 indicates Devotion Garden, 12th row from the north end of the cemetery. Nothing on the material below indicates what number the grave was in any row. Birth and death dates and other information shown on the stones and markers is shown. No information shown below was verified with the legal records of the cemetery. On some tombstones only the birth or death date was shown; some only had a name. Some graves were only marked with a temporary funeral marker. The researcher tried her best to be as accurate as possible in her recording and rechecking.
