Newspaper clipping Teens Offered Deal for Testimony Fort Meyers- Two 17 year-old Immokalee field laborers accused in the murder of a Collier County sheriff's deputy have ben offered 12 year prison terms in exchange dor testifying against conspirators,a circuit judge says. Jorge Rodriguez and Abraham Montoya, wearing shackles, handcuffs and leg irons, pleaded no contest Monday to charges of second degree murder and robbery in exchange for thr sentencing agreement. A nocontest plea means the teenagers do not dispute the charges, but do not admit guilt. Originally,Rodriguez and Montoya had been charged with first degree murder in the March 29 shooting death of CPL.Amedicus Quincey Howell ( Med) 3rd. in Immokalee, following the robbery of convenience store in town. The teen-agers testimony is needed against Ernesto Suarez,29,Miguel Sory 36, and Raymundo Reyes,22,all of Immokalee. The men were all born in Cuba and came to Florida in the Mariel boatlift.
