Brooks of the same & Territory. Two certain negro slaves (females) Elsy & Flora the first about Eleven & the other about nine years of age To have and to hold the said negro slaves unto the said Ashley H. Brooks & unto his heirs to his and their own proper use & behoof And I the said Humphrey obligate & bind myself my heirs etc., etc., to warrant & defend to the said Ashley H. Brooks the title to the said against all claims whatsoever In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the 26th day of May 1834 Gad Humphrey (L. S.)
