Territory of Florida
Alachua County            Know all men by these presents that I Charles 
Gibbons of the County and Territory aforesaid for divin good cause and 
consideration  me hereunto moving have made ordained and appointed and 
by these presents do make ordain and appoint James Pendarvis of the 
County and Territory aforesaid my true and lawful atorney for me and in 
my name  and for my own proper use and benefit to sell a certain lot of 
land lying on Carructy River in Bryon County in the State of Georgia 
and ** of and  take all lawful ways and means in my name or otherwise 
and to confirmed and agree for the same and acquitances or other 
sufficient Receipts and discharges for the same from me and in my name 
to make seal seal and deliver and to do all other lawful acts and 
things whatsoever concerning the premises  as fully and in every 
respect as I myself might or could do ** me I personaly  present at the 
doing thereof and one or more attorney under him for the purposes 
aforesaid to make and again at his pleasure to revoke, ratifying and 
conforming and by these presents all allowing whatsoever my said 
attorney shall and in my name lawfully do or cause to be done in and 
about the premises by the virtue of these presents
      In witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal 
this first day of January in the year one thousand eight hundred and 
thirty eight
