     In the Name of God
     I John Betts Senior of the County of Sussex
and State of Diliwary  Being week in body but of
Sound and Perfect mind and memory and Considering
the Uncertainty of this mortal Life and being of Sound mind
and memory blessed be Almighty God for the Same do make
and publish this my Last will and Testament in the maner
and form following Viz. first I Give my Soul to God that
Give it. And my Body to the dust to be buried in a
Christain like maner by my Executor and as to my
Nateral Goods which it hath pleased God to bless me with I
Dispose of in the following maner ---
Item. I Gave and bequeath to my Son Samuel Betts a Certain
      part or parsel of Land Layin and being in the County affor
      Said Begining at A pine Standing on the Division Line
      of the Said John Betts and William ottwels Land Runing
      from thence to briery Range boundes then to a gum boundes
      by the name of Ingrams design thence taken the beginning
      Line thence to keep the Lines to a Red oak on the N.W.
      Side of the County Road and near a bridge from taken taken the
      different Lines back to the first Named pine
Item. I Give and bequeath unto Loving wife Rhoda betts all
      that part or parsel of Land begining and bounded at A
      white oak Standing in the twilf Line of a tract Called
      Betwxt and betwen from thence with a Strate Line to A
      Red oak it being a division Betwen Jonathan Bets &
      Eli Timmons Land which Land I gave to my wife
      Dureing her Natural Life and at her Deceas to my
      youngest Son Thomas Betts Likewise one horse
Item. I Give and Bequeath unto my Son John Betts
      all the Residue of my Lands Laying on the North
      End thereof Like wise one horse bridl and Saddle to his proper use
      and property
Item. I Give and bequeath unto my daughtor Salla Rawlons
      one Cow and Calf and no more of my Estate

      As to the Rest of my partinal Estate of Collecting and
      paying away to be Equally divided in to three parts to
      to wit one part her of I gave unto my Son Samuel bets
      and one of Said par unto my wife and youner Son Thomas
      and one of Said part unto my Son John whom Said
      John Betts and my wife Rhoda Betts I hereby appoint
      Sole Executrix and Executor of this my last will and
      testament here by Revoking all former wills by
      me Maid In witness where of I have hereunto Set
      my hand and Seal this twentieth day of Febuary
      in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred
      and Seven

by teh above named John Betts to be his
Last will and testament in the presents
of us who have here unto Subscribed
our names as witnisses in the presence
of the Testator

     Memorandum 23rd of March 1807
Before me Philllips Rallock Register appointed for
the probate of Wills and Granting Letts of
Administration for the County afsd. appeared
Jonathan Betts and Allice Betts two of the
Subscribing Witnisses to the within and
foregoing will who being duly sworn on
The holy Evangel's of almighty God did Severally
depose adn Say that in their Sight presence
and hearing the Testator John Betts decd
Sign Seal publish pronounce and declare
the same to be his last will and Testament
and that at the doing therof he seemed
to be of a sound disposing mind memory
and Judgment and that they and each
of them together with James Lawson
Submitied the same as witnesses in
presence of the said Testator and at
his request-----      Phillips Kollocy
