Marriage Book Sept-Dec, 1945, New London City Clerk, New London, Connecticut
Vivian is 19, white, a filler, born in New London Connecticut, and there 
residing.  Her father is Frank Knowles, and mother is Kathryn Stapleton.  
First marriage and single

Adam is 17, white, working for the U.S.M.S, born in Chicago, Illinois, 
resident of that city. First marriage and single. Father is Adam F. Ermler and 
mother is Marjorie.


Reverend Oliver W. Bell, Clergyman 193 Hempstead Street, New London, 
Connecticut.




Affidavit from Anna F. Ermler, 3719 W. Lyndale Street, Chicago, Illinois, 
grandmother and legal guardian of Adam Ermler gives her permission for Adam to 
marry Vivian.

USMS may be the United States Maritime Service.

Vivian was born on October 21, 1926. Her faher Frank was a Marine Engineer 
born in New York City.
