Lilliam married William Henry Daniels in January 24, 1948, and is so recorded 
in the New London City Clerk's office at Book of Marriages, New London, 
Connecticut, Page 42, 1948

William Hemry Daniels was 70 a retired marine fireman who was born in East Lyme 
Connecticut to Richard B. Daniels and Catherine Havens. 

Lillian is recorded as Lillian Vida Stapleton, and her father is John Stark, 
her mother is Sophia McKnight.

The clergyman Oliver Bell,of 193 Hempstead Street, New London, married the 
two.  

Henry McGuire was the Registrar for New London, recording the marriage.



Additional Comments:
Lillian Vida Stark was her married name and she married John T. Stapleton, but 
he divorced her prior to 1948, said divorce being recorded at the Conecticut 
State Library as Stapleton, John v. Lillian Stapleton, record location number 
6444.

Sadly William Henry Daniels died just a few months later on June 3, 1948 as is 
recorded at New London City Hall Book of Deaths 1948 page 243. Both William and 
Lillian are buried together at the Jordan Cemetery, Waterford, Connecticut at 
lot 20B Summit Section.
