Oct. 23th 1841 Dear Brother, I would take my pen in hand to address a few lines to you from this place to let you know that I am still through the Blessing of God in verry good health or as good health as can be expected for as old a person as I am. I want to hear from you verry much. I have not heard from you since last spring I heard from you by Brother Levi who was here last spring in company with Brother Charles. They left here last June and I have not heard from them since. I wish if you have heard from them that you would write to me and let me know it so I can know wether they are dead or alive for they have not wrote to me since they left here. I live to Philo Perkins where I have lived since the death of Mr. Russell my last husband. My family (children) are all well and relatives are all well. I wish you would come and see me and all relations if you think you can leave home for I am so old that it is not probable that i shall ever come to see you. I hope that you will come: and write as soon as you get this letter so as to let me know whether you are coming or not. So no more at present This from your sister (signed Hannah Russell Simeon M. Webster Exeter, Connecticut Additional Comments: Hannah Webster, born in 1767, was two years older than her brother Simeon.
