Root, a long time resident of the community. Mr. Root passed away at the Cedardale Rest Home in Wray about 5 p.m. Thursday May 25, after several months of illness. Funeral services were held at the Liberty school Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. and burial was in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Denver Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Root entered the Burlington Hospital in Wray March 16 where he remained until his death. His stepdaughters, Mrs. Dorothy Dibble and Mrs. Helen Seelye have been here with their mother, at separate times, suring most of his illness. Mrs. Helen Seelye was her with her mother at the time of his death, and the other daughter and her husband, Wesley and Dorothy Dibble and Helen's husband Norman Seelye, all of New York, arrived Saturday night. All will remain until after the funeral and are not sure yet how much longer.
