(Orndorff) Muller, 1909-1976 =========================================== Thursday, June 24, 1976 "Wray Gazette" Services were held for Virginia O. Muller on Monday, June 21 at the First Christian Church in Wray. Rev. James Adams, Minister of the Loveland Christian Church officiated. Interment was at Grandview Cemetery. Virginia O. Orndorff was born in Campbell, Nebraska on August 14, 1909 to Belle Crosby Orndorff and John Orndorff, the youngest in a famiy of seven children. She moved with her family to a farm southeast of Wray in 1920. Virginia was married to Clair Muller in Colby, Kansas on June 23, 1929. To this union, four children were born, Richard, Jack, Clarice Ann Brueggeman and Duane. With the exception of a year, 1931-1932, when they made their home in Lebanon, Kansas, Wray was their home. They had celebrated 46 years of marriage shortly before Clair's death on July 19, 1975. Virginia was a faithful, longtime member of the Christian Church. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she took pleasure in her household, especially in cooking - a talent she used generously for her church and her friends, as well. Virginia died on Thursday, June 17 at Presbyterian Hospital in Denver following a prolonged ilness. In 1966 she underwent surgery for cancer. Leukemia ultimately claimed her life. Preceding her death were her husband, Clair, her parents, a sister Bessie Lindgren, and five brothers, Paris, Stanton, Teale, Ward, and Ira Orndorff. Surviving are sons Richard and wife Bernice of Greeley, Jack and wife Ressa of Durango, Duane and wife Millie of Lamar, daughter Clarice Ann Brueggeman and husband Dale, of Wray, 16 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. ================================================================= All files are contributed for use by the USGenWeb Archives Project (http://www.usgwarchives.org/).
