Rufus Arther 
Rufus Arther Sr., 83, of Stockton and formerly of Lodi, died June 2 in a 
Stockton hospital of natural causes. He was born Jan. 10, 1922, in Oklahoma.

Mr. Arther was employed in the agricultural industry. 

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Arther, of Stockton; son, Rufus Arther Jr.; 
daughter, Mary Ann Breeding; and four grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at English Oaks Seventh Day 
Adventist Church, 601 N. California St., Stockton, with Wayne Young 
officiating. Committal will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation will 
be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at DeYoung Memorial Chapel.

Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
