He was eighteen years of age and well grown for his age and of fine physical development. He was conscious to the last or near the end and talked freely of his death and calmly to Rev. D. W. Ramsey, his pastor, and manifested through his own and prayers of pastor and friends a readiness for death. Death is always sad especially when the young is cut down. He had a winning disposition, was kind-hearted and popular with all who met him. If he could have lived to mature manhood, age would have softened and molded him into worthy manhood and useful citizenship. The affliction falls heavily upon his immediate family.
