01 Oct 1904 Chatom Post Office was established before the actual founding of 
Chatom. Located in EWlijah Jordans store.
 1st postmaster- Elijah Jordan untill his death in 1918.
1918-1935 Effie Jordan, daughter of Elijah Jordan.
1935-1940 R.L. Gordy with Ms Gordy serving as Substitute clerk.
1940-1964- H.N Jordan with wife Effie serving as Substitute Clerk.
