P. Taylor Shock To His Friends The news received here last Thursday morning, that Rev. Dan- iel Perry Taylor had died the night before at Virginia Beach, Va., was a shock to the many friends of this popular minister, who was born and reared in this vicinity. Mr. Taylor suffered a breakdown some months ago and had gone to the above named re- sort in an effort to recover his health. He is survived by his wife, one brother and one sister, and his aged and invalid mother, Mrs. J. L. B. Taylor, who resides near Roanoke. Mr. Taylor was the beloved pas- tor of the First Christian church of Selma, where he served most acceptably for eighteen years. Prior to that he served a church in Bessemer twelve years.
