This file is copyrighted and contributed by: William Fischer, Jr. ============================================= November 2001 BUSINESS SESSION OF VETERANS HELD FRIDAY ---------------------------- The annual business meeting of Camp Aiken-Sfith [sic, Smith], United Confederate Veterans, was held at Hunter’s store in Roanoke last Friday morning [14 May 1926] at 10. There was a fine attendance. Several members were accompanied by their wives. Mr. [W. A. J.?] HUNTER and Mr. [W. A.?] MULDREW made royal hosts, assisted by Mrs. Adolphus HUEY. Coffee and cake were served to all present. The call of the roll showed that eight members of the camp had died since the last meeting, as follows: Elijah BEAIRD [BAIRD?], B. M. CONWAY, J. W. DeLOACH, J. A. T. HENDON, J. H. HOOD, T. J. McCARLEY, W. W. STILL, T. F. USSERY. The following were eledted [sic] delegates to attend the feneral [sic - general] reunion convening in Birmingham this week: W. W. COFIELD, Jesse FAUSETT, A. C. CHRISTIAN and B. F. WEATHERS. B. F.
