Roberts was born on the 13th day of June 1824 and died April 5, 1915. She was born in South Carolina but in early life moved to Georgia, where she was married to John W. Roberts and later moved to Alabama, where she had resided ever since. She is survived by four children, thirty-six grandchildren, 120 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She joined the church some forty years ago and has since lived a consistent life. She seemed to be in perfect health until a few days before she died. She was buried at the Belser Cemetery, attended by about two hundred people. By her request, W. A. Davis officiated at the funeral, assisted by T. L. Adams."
