This file is copyrighted and contributed by: Ruth Newlan ==================================================================== March 2003 I Abel Farrar of the town of Claiborne County of Monroe & State of Alabama being sick and weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say- First I do constitute and appoint Thomas W. Fleming and Aaron B. Cooper both of the town of Claiborne executors of this my last will and testament. Second It is my will that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid and discharged by my said executors out of my estate as soon as convienently may be and I bear the direction of my funeral to my said executors. Third It is my will and I do hereby order and direct my said executors so soon as they convieniently can to sell all my estate both real and personal upon the best terms and for the most that can be obtained therefore and the proceeds to rest in some safe fund or so to secure at their direction and to the best of their judgement that the principal sum be always under their control and subject to their "the distribution"(written above the next words) direction herein after directed, and the interest or other proceeds thereof as is also here in after mentioned hereby creating my said executors trustees for the uses and purposes herein after recited. Fourth In consideration of the early and long cherished esteam abd regard which I have entertained for Ruth Baker Woodson, daughter of the late Miller Woodson of Cumberland County Virginia and as a small testimony of my unabated affection for her I as hereby give to the said Rutha Baker Woodson (now of Macon Geo) for and during her natural life the use interest or other proceeds of all my said estate or the monies which shall arise from the sale thereof after the payment of my debts as above directed and I as hereby direct my said executors either to permit the said Rutha Baker Woodson to have the use of the said monies upon such times and surity as they in their discretion may reuire, or to pay her the interest which may accur thereon which as they may deem most safe and advisable for those utlimately interested. Fifth at and after the death of the said Rutha Baker Woodson it is my will that all my said estate should be yearlly divided by my said executors among Francis H. Farrar now of the city of mobile, Abel Farrar son of the said Francis H. Farrar, Henry R. Fleming, Robert A. Fleming & Mary Ann Fleming children of Robert & Thirsa Fleming of Geo. share and share alike, and I do hereby give devise and bequeath to the said Francis H. Farrar, Abel Farrar, Henry R. Fleming Robert a. Fleming, Mary Ann Fleming, Catharine Farrar and Thirsa Thomas, all of my said estate to be divided among them share and share alike, upon the death of the said Rutha Baker Woodson, but if any of the above named persons should die before the said Rutha Baker Wookson having no heirs of his her or their body, thru his her or their shau shall go to and be equally divided amongest the survivors of the above named persons. In witness whereof I Abel Farrar have to this my will on our sheet of paper set my hand and seal this twentieth day of December in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and thirty three.
