Funeral services will be announced by Collier-Butler Funeral Home after arrival of his son, Thaddeus L. of Oakland, California. The body will remain at the Collier-Butler Chapel until 10 a.m. Friday. Born in Etowah County, Oliver was a member of the Baptist Church and a World War I veteran who served overseas 14 months with the famed Rainbow Division. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ella Fleming Oliver; one son, Thaddeus L.; one daughter, Mrs. Howard Baker, Attalla, Route 2; one sister, Mrs. Bonnie Tullis, Attalla; two brothers, Rile and Frank, both of Attalla; and five grandchildren.
