Mrs. Nancy L. Shadix

ONEONTA—Mrs. Nanacy Leona Shadix, 94, Oneonta Route 4, died at her residence 
following a long illness.

Funeral services were held yesterday at 2 p.m. in Antioch Methodist Church, 
Revs. Billy Gene Head and Jimmy Wadsworth officiating. Burial was in the 
adjoining cemetery, Lemley Funeral Chapel directing. 

Mrs. Shadix is survived by two sons, Nick Shadix, Oneonta, and Sylvester 
Shadix, Pinson; seven daughters, Mrs. Minnie Morton, Mrs. Sara Gargus, Mrs. 
Roda Wester, Mrs. Mary Allen and Mrs. Mattie Morton, all of Oneonta; Mrs. 
Beatha Hill, Cleveland, and Mrs. Velma Lou Worrell, Pensacola, Fla.; 51 
grandchildren, 92 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.

She was a native of Marshall County and a member of Antioch Methodist Church.
