Dunlap John Perry Dunlap, 85, 100 Nola Street, died at 4:30 a.m. today at the resident after a long illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Bellevue Baptist Church with the Revs. M. L. Cordle, H. Ray Wood and Buster Latimer officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Cemetery, Collier-Butler Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Active pallbearers will be Carl Elliott, Billy Ray Reagan, Purcell Logan, Horace Gladden, Jimmy Blackwood, Bill Tate, Jimmy Robinson and Clyde Moon. Honorary pallbearers will be Drs. W. E. Frantz and H. J. Gowaty, and Willie Young, Troy Moon, Adolph Williams, F. R. Sims, C. C. Bullard, J. J. McCleskey, W. M. Booker, Sr., L. W. Weston, Hugh Waters, J. R. Givens, W. F. Edwards, Ed Stephens, Andy Chaffin, members of the Dunlap Bible Class and all other personal friends. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edna Honeycutt Dunlap; two daughters, Mrs. Bayard Turner, Gadsden, and Mrs. M. C. Thompson, Chattanooga, Tenn.; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mr. Dunlap was a native of St. Clair County 45 years. He was a charter member of Bellevue Baptist Church, and a retired shipping clerk, employed by Agricola Furnace Co., for 25 years. The body will remain in Collier-butler Chapel, to lie in state at the church one hour prior to services. Additional Comments: Submitter not related.
