A. G. Barkley

GUNTERSVILLE—Funeral services for A. G. Barkley, 51, of 411 Henry Street, 
Guntersville, were held Thursday at Carr Chapel in the Pines with J. G. 
Whitaker, minister, officiating. Burial was in Crestview Cemetery with Carr 
Funeral home directing.

Mr. Barkley died Tuesday following a brief illness.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Margie Perry Barkley; a son, A. G. Barkley, Jr.; 
a daughter, Margaret Ann Barkley; his mothers, Mrs. Leona Barkley, and a 
brother Ross Barkley, all of Guntersville.

A native of Meltonsville community, he was a veteran of World War II. A 
resident of Guntersville for the past nine years, he had been an employee of 
Guntersville products Co. for the past four years.
