Whereas, S. L. Russell, D. D., a member of this institute and an honored member of the profession in the state has been called to his reward by the great master Teacher since our last meeting: Resolved, That as teachers we, in this most befitting manner, express our love for him, who devoted his life so unselfishly to the cause of christian education and manifest our breavement [bereavement] at his loss; and, Resolved, further, That we, as an institute, extend our heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and friends in this their great sorrow. Resolved, further, That these resolutions be spread upon the minutes of this meeting and furnished to the newspapers of the county for publication, also a copy be furnished the family of the deceased.
