Toney, one of the most prominent planters of Alabama, died at Roseland, his country place, in Barbour county, this afternoon. He was a brother of Judge Sterling R. Toney, of Denver, Colorado, and a brother-in-law of Ex-congressman W.C. Oates, of Alabama. Mr. Toney was 53 years old and unmarried.
